2004 Dolphin LX 6342 Slide questions
I recently had problems with the bedroom slide. I had no manuals for either of the slides when I purchased the unit 3 years ago. The drive unit had no marking or any kind of identifier on it. I finally found a replacement part via Dexter Axle (formerly AL-KO formerly RWB).
My concern now is getting information on the living room slide.
Again, no manual, not identifying marks, nothing. I thought it might be a Power Gear, but after sending them photos, PG says it is not their unit.
I am looking for any information on the living room slide gear unit.
If someone has a manual and would be willing to copy it to a .pdf file I would be grateful. Or if you could point me in the direction that would lead me to some sort of documentation.
Thanks in Advance

National used RBW for 2 or 3 years, so some coaches have a mix of RBW and POWERGEAR. Mixed with no rime or reason. A photo may help

I'll look in my box of goodies for my '05. I have slide info in there I think. Your '04 unit is likely the same as my '05 (6342 as well)

Having problems attaching photos.
I am not good at this stuff. Would rather be turning wrenches than pounding keyboard.
Will keep trying.

Fleetwood used the same systems. If one determined from the exploded views a RBW part #, then perhaps Fleetwood could become a parts alternative.
For example, the 1521 gear is the gear for the slide rack.
Caveat: if you are hoping for absolutes with no "are we sure" risk, that may be a tough place to reach.

Civdiv99, I am fully aware there is no absolute in my search.
As I asked in my original post, I was hoping someone had a manual that I might get a copy of. This search has again proven that there is no such thing as consistent in the manufacture of motor homes. It is all a guessing game. Even for the RV repair facilities.
Thank you for your help and information. I have added it to the list of possibilities.
It looks like that the only way to know is to take the unit out and check the gears for number of teeth, shaft diameter etc. and then do more research. The link to the motor site is helpful.
Hopefully other Dolphin owners will be able to add to my list of resources.

I do have a set of exploded view drawings with parts and assemblies of the level floor living room slide system our coaches use.
It is NOT National RV specific, but it is in all other respects, our slide out mechanism with the rails, gears, bushings, fasteners, showing where to do adjustments, etc.
In other words, but for possible differences in specific part numbers themselves, it is the one.
Want it?

Fully understand it is not National specific.
Yes the diagram and any other documents will be helpful.
Thanks

Ok, Kemosabe.
(2) .pdf files attached here. For you and other members, please note the following - neither of these are "National RV" specific. However, both of these do depict our systems from this manufacturer. Once you start looking through them, you will notice most of the mechanism part #s are the same, and the same mechanism part #s also appear on that Fleetwood part # cross-ref screenshot I posted earlier.
This does not mean that these are also our part numbers for the gears, motor, bearings, rollers, plates, etc. However, I believe it is real good starting point, and in any case, the adjustments and exploded view depictions should apply.
I also don't know if all of these are old news. I have never had any issues with my slides, so I have not had a reason to delve into the forum and see what's already there. Since you asked, I (uh oh) ass-umed you either had yourself, or by now another member would have steered this thread toward an applicable resource.
Good luck.

Thanks, I think these will help. (have only taken a quick glance)
As I stated originally, I have replaced the bedroom slide and am now trying to get ahead of the game by finding out about the living room slide mechanism.
Preventative maintenance rather than casualty control.
Thanks again, you have been a big help.

My wife does all the driving. I just hold the steering wheel.
