I will probably have to change tires this year. I have noticed some small cracks in the side walls. I was wondering if anyone out there has changed to anything other than Mitchelin tires. I have 235/80/22.5 on the coach now. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks Gayle

Michelin tires are among the best, and there are not that many other brand choices in that particular size. Small sidewall surface cracks are part of aging and may not necessarily be a problem. Your tires are not that old, and I doubt you have worn the tread down to the minimum. You should go to a reputable truck tire dealer and have your tires inspected-preferably a Michelin dealer so they are not otherwise motivated to sell you new tires.
My 2005 Dolphin with the same tires has some small sidewall cracks starting. I recommend treating with a tire UV protector and use sun covers whenever possible and regular inspections. Those tires should last 7 years (Michelin says up to 10 in some cases) with good care.

Keep in mind that no matter what the brand, if the vehicle is not used on a regular basis the tires will suffer a premature death. I believe Michelin states they have a UV inhibitor added to the rubber compound. Like the expression goes "Use it or lose it".
