2004 National Dolphin 5342 Auxilary switch
We recently purchased a 2004 National Dolphin 5342, no paper work from dolphin came with it so we are just learning by trial and error. I have no idea what the auxilary switch on the dash is for, any help would be appreciated Thanks

My 2003 5342 has two "AUX" switches. Neither one of them was used on this model. They were used on the 6342.
I used one of them to wire a disconnect for the solinoid that interconnects the house and starter batteries.

I had a 2004 5342 and it is indeed connected to a solenoid that "jumps" the chassis battery with the house batts. You should be able to hear a click when you push the switch.
BTW, my 5342 served me well. I just wanted a heavier coach that did better in the wind.

The battery interconnect is normally labeled "Emergency Boost". The Aux is probably not used except in LX models.
If you don't have manuals, you can download some for the '05 models which should be mostly identical to the '04. (If the link doesn't work, look for the 2005 Dolphin-Sea Breeze manuals on line thread a couple of pages down on this National RV forum.

I have an 04 Sea breeze, and it also has a switch labeled AUX that I have no idea what it is for. I have the manuals but they do not say anything about it, when I push on it, it lights up but can not see where it does anything. Also I can feel wires connected to it.

My aux.switch is used for the dash fans. In the owners manual it says the aux. is used for dealer installed options.
