Our DVD player quit working and I can't get the old one out. It pretty much fills the slot where it is located, with only about a half inch of space above it. I have two pry bars under it now, but it won't come loose at the back. I need some help before I break something!

It's held by a bracket on the bottom. Put away the tools. I'll go check out mine and be back.

Look for a small retaining bracket underneath, center rear. I believe after freeing the front, lift front up, and push to the rear for removal.

So far, no luck. The video Distribution box seems to be fastened in also. I was hoping it was just velcro.

The Video Distribution box is held down by two screws on each side from tabs that come out from underneath it. You will need a very short screwdriver. If you can get it free, and remove its' shelf, you will have better access to the DVD/VCR unit. You are probably blocked by cables. Don't be afraid to jump right in. All mistakes can be corrected. Trust me, I know.

In my 2005 Sea Breeze LX, the VCR/DVD player & distribution box were screwed down. There were 4 screws, one at each corner secured with a bracket. I used a short handled screw driver to remove the screws. It was slow going, but I finally got them out.

On my 05 Dolphin I beleive is the same you have to remove the door and lifting struts then on each side of the shelves there are 1"by2" strips of wood. Each strip has two screws that have to be removed( there may be plugs over the screw holes). After you remove the screws and the two strips of wood the shelves will slide out for easy replacment.

Thanks for the reply, Speed Racer. I had eye surgery monday and haven't been able to work on the moho. I removed most of the wood strips and got the DVD player out except for the power cord. The DVD player was screwed to the shelf using two little angle brackets. I haven't been able to remove the shelves yet, just tip them down.

Speed Racer, I just read your message more carefully. The strips of wood that I removed were under the shelves, not in front and vertical. When my vision improves in a few days, I'll try again. to be able to remove the shelves will really help. Thanks!
