2006 Dolphin Surround Sound Driver Component Missing

Just purchased a '06 Dolphin. This unit has the factory surround sound system in place. But the component that drives the speakers had been previously removed. The only component I have in place currently is a DISH network sat. tuner.

Any suggestions on what I should buy that would drive the surround sound, drive sound from the TV, and maybe provide a DVD player as well?

The original RCA unit in mine stopped playing DVD's so I replaced it with a Philips BluRay unit I bought at Walmart. I just hooked up the existing speakers to it. Works great.

Does that drive the TV for regular programming as well or just when watching a movie? Thanks for the input!

The original unit was a RCA Scenium, needless to say it's no longer in production. In looking at current RCA units, I would guess they could be adapted.

Just about any surround sound unit will work. I use ours only for DVD/Blu ray and music play back. It has a USB and an Aux input for an I-pod. Satellite and cable programming sound plays through TV speakers.
