2006 Sea Breeze 8341 LX standard antenna question

Hi folks--do any of you know what the "range" of the standard Winegard antenna on the Sea Breeze is? We purchased our MH used and don't have the literature on it. I think it has an amplifier--we do have a piece of paper that says "Winegard Entertainment Select Video Distribution Switch Model VS-0604/VS6412" and when I googled that, I didn't find much info but I did find something about it being an amplifier.

We are new to RVing and not really familiar with how many channels we should expect while in the mountains--sometimes we get zero and sometimes we get more, and sometime the bedroom tv works better than the front tv so I know it works. Of course we get more channels parked out in the open in our driveway on both tvs which is to be expected. We don't care about satellite at this time. Just wondering if we should do anything to upgrade the antenna to get more range or just call it good. Thanks!

Do you have the Amplifier turned "on"? Makes all the difference. There is a small button on the baseplate in the right side overhead cabinet where the antenna is connected to the TV lead. Little red light comes on when the Amp is on. Rook

The amplifier is the left button that says ant. Did you push that button to turn it on? Should be a red LED when it is turned on. If it doesn't turn on you have to find out why, if you want it to work right. Then you have to have the correct button pushed for the input you want for each TV. Ant , DVD, or VCR.

Thank you for the amplifier info- it is on- my actual question is whether anyone knows the "range" of the antenna. Most antennas seem to specify a number of miles for their range- e.g. 30 miles, 50 miles etc. my apologies if the question wasn't clear!

I had to replace the coax connections last year, reception improved significantly.

I replaced my Winegard with a new version last year as mine had mechanical issues. They make a "bat wing" add on you can install that may help pick up digital signals. I saw it on the website when looking at a replacement.
