2007 National Pacifica

Have been looking for a National diesel pusher, shopping different models and price. I have found a 2007 National Pacifica for sale on the net. The price seems to be right but don't know much about this model. A partial comparison with the Tropical shows the Pacifica heavier, several thousand pounds heavier, the interior ceiling is higher on the Pacifica. Can't really tell much about any other differences. The drive train seem to be the same....Has anyone here on this site owned a Pacifica? I like National MHs. We Own a very nice Dolphin. Thanks for any help.

Open link for Pacifica specs.
We have had our Pacifica for 6 years full time. Love it. Basement air quiet. Only real bad thing is Norcold fridge. which will be replaced next summer.

We have a 2006 National Tradewinds, somewhat similar and totally love it. Not the cheapest to drive down the road, but comfortable, spacious, and well built. It will be out last coach.

The only thing that you may want to be cautious about is the year. National was experiencing some pretty bad financial difficulties and went under the following year. The last year or so, they were struggling and the quality control might not have been that great. I heard rumours that in 2008, many of those models were cobbled together from stock that they had left hanging around. I don't exactly if or when that practice started so due diligence is a must. On the bright side, the Pacific was pretty much their top tier model so likely to be very nice.

In late 04 they changed companies that made the side walls and they stated having delamination problems. By the time they realized they had a problem they couldn't repair them all under a recall so they went bankrupt. So check for that it normally starts right above the wheel wells.

I own a Pacifica qs40c identical to Toms. Love it. Plenty power with c7. Basement hvac is great. Bought it at end of last year. Took a little sorting, but great machine.
Tom was a great help

We bought our 2008 Pacifica 40D new after the bankruptcy. We did find some fit & finish issues from probably using leftover stock & management builders; i.e.: upside down switch plates, crooked doors, no microwave turntable. Nothing serious & easily taken care of. We LOVE our coach and haven't found anything to convince us to trade. We have had offers from others to buy it. We have more storage capacity than we use, love the 1 1/2 baths, big shower, very usable kitchen with enough countertops.
