Our son just bought a new 2007.5 Surf Side DE34E. We saw it for the first time yesterday and really like it, especially the full body paint.

However, I could not find the 120 volt circuit breaker panel. Also, apparently the metal guard protecting the gas tank does it's job quite well as it is quite low and scrapes when going up even a driveway with a very gentle slope. Anybody have any insight on these two issues? Thanks in advance.

On my 07 SeaBreeze the 120 brakers and 12 volt are in the hall way behind a small door. I don't have a problem with anything hanging low under the motorhome, but mine has the 22.5 rims.
Someone with a SurfSide may be able to shead more light on this for you.

Our 120v panel is located in the rear storage cabinet of the bedroom. Facing the rear of the coach, the panel would be to the right side of that cabinet.

In regard to scraping the under side of the RV. We also have 22.5's and our coach is 37 1/2 feet long. The only time I've rubbed anything on the underside was pulling out of a parking lot where the lot was higher than the street I was pulling on to. The tow receiver took the hit, not the gas tank. It did nothing more than scrape a little paint.

Like Richard S., our 120v. circuit breaker panel and 12v. breaker reset panel are located in the hallway behind a small door below the tank & equipment panel.

My 120v panel is under the cosmetic counter in the bedroom and the 12v fuses are in the basement compartment behind the coaches access door along with the power converter.
My coach is super low also and even though I have two driveways, I can only use one of them which causes me some problems, especially during the winter when I have guests. I don't usually have any problems out on the road, but have often wondered what a heavy set of caster wheels under there might do? I saw a class C with bars underneath, like what you see on the rear of a wheelbarrow. I think I might make this a new post.

I just purchased an '07 Surf Side 29A and noticed how low the fuel tank and skid plate for it are as well. After climbing under it, the top of the tank is at least 5 to 6" below the bottom of the floor. It looks like the tank could easily be raised up about 5" with no problems. The four straps that support it would have be re-drilled and then bolted back into the same holes on the frame rails. The only real problem is that the skid plate or protector loop is welded to the frame and gussetted. I'm thinking after tank removall, just cut the strap off with a torch or air cutter, shorten it, and then bolt it to the frame rails instead of welding. With grade #8 bolts it will be strong, and removable if the tank ever has to come out again. I may try this modification as a winter project. I'm already tired of hearing it drag.
