That is really too bad. I would also check the operation of the converter/charger unit since it is on all the time. Do the TVs still work? My guess is that the microwave will cost too much to fix so I would buy a new one. The only reason to get the old microwave fixed would be if it is custom mounted and you can't find another one of that same size. You might want to try some used appliance stores and see if you can locate the same unit. As far as the refrigerator that is probably going to require all the electronics being replaced plus maybe the electric heater element. You can go up on Dometic website and find the nearest dealer at http://www.dometic.com/enus/Americas/USA/Customer-Suppo...vice-Center-Locator/

I have to ask how you managed to plug that into 220v since the plugs have different prongs on them to prevent that from happening. Was that at a campground?

Unfortunately the old type three prong, 220v, dryer outlet and/or welder outlet is very close to the pin configuration for an RV 30A/120v plug. An RV plug will go into it with just a bit of extra pressure. More than a few RVers have thought they could plug into one of those and had [literally] quite a shock.
The fridge electronics are 12v and should have survived if the converter failed quickly enough (they usually do), but the AC mode heater element is 120vac and so is the ice maker, if so equipped. Those are likely toast.

You need to invest in a Surge Supressor device with voltage protection. Lots of discussion here if you use the Find feature.

A few years back, a friend of mine asked an electrician to intall a 30 amp outlet next to his driveway so he could hook up to the AC power when he parked his rig alongside the house. He showed the electrician the plug on the end of his RV umbilicle and the electrician said no problem.

When my buddy plugged into the new outlet he discovered to his dismay that the electrcian had wired it for 220 volts just as he would have for a kitchen range or dryer which both use a similar plug.

Maxine, sorry to hear of your plight but it happens all too often for those without protection systems in place. You may luck out and find that only a fuse is blown in the refrigerator control board. I have found this a couple of times when 220 volts were applied. Get it all checked out and let us know all the damages.

Are all the circuit breakers on? Maybe you got lucky and they tripped real quick like.

I did the same thing to my Montana 5th wheel in 2000. SIL (electrician) changed the dryer plug to fit the cable. Inline fuses blew except the stereo,it fried. Hopefully, you will be just as lucky.
