30,000 mile maintenance schedule????

Our 2000 Sea View has turned 30,000 miles recently. I have the Ford chassis manual that refers to scheduled maintenance of the engine, but I don't have the National manual for other scheduled maintenance.

I want to schedule maintenance with my local service guy, but would like to have a fairly thorough list of what services I want performed. Can anyone out there help me?

Thanks in advance.

Hi Karlos, could you provide a bit more detail regarding what type of "other scheduled maintenance" you're referring to?

Thanks...

If you mean furnace, stove, water heater, A/C, propane system, etc. About once a year.

Karlos,

I was very fortunate that when we bought the 2000 Georgie Boy that the
previous owners had with it all paperwork, on every system, every item, included.

Looking in the FORD Scheduled Maintenance Guide for the 2000 E450
at 30,000 miles I see the following: Normal Schedule on page 13

1- Oil and Filter change
2- Inspect break system - pads, shoes, lines etc.
3- Inspect cooling system and hoses
4-Inspect exhaust system and heat shields
5-Inspoect steering linkage, suspension and if equipped driveshaft and ball joints
6- Inspect tires for wear and rotate
7- Replace Air Filter
8- Replace fuel filter
9- Replace cabin air filter, if equipped
10- Inspect accessory drive belt(s)
11- Change automatic transmission/transaxle fluid on all vehicles equipped with AX4S, Ax4N, 4R70W, 4R100,f27E. Inspect automatic transmission fluid level on all other vehicles, if equipped with a dipstick. Consult your dealer for your particular requirements.
12- Replace climate-controlled seat filters (Navigator, if equipped).

Additional for: Light Trucks, Sport Utilities and Vans
1- Inspect and lubricate 4x2 ball joints ( except F-450/F550)
2-Inspect and lubricate steering linkage ( E and F series, Expedition,Navigator, Excursion)

For Diesel add: ( page 14)
1 Check air filter minder, replace filter as required
2 Replace fuel filter
3 Add 8to 10 oz FW16 coolant conditioner to cooling system

Special Operating Conditions :
Change automatic transmission fluid - page 35

Exceptions:
Class A motor home
1- Change break fluid every 2 years

Hope this helps.

Karlos,
A good resource if you do not have the Ford material is their web site.
Copy and paste:

Maintenance questions

Looks like I have the basics now for a pretty good list to bring to my engine/chassis mechanic and an even bigger list for me.

Thanks to those who've replied ..... especially for Ken's Ford chassis recommendations. I found a similar vintage Tradewinds manual that covers much of the "house" systems (A/C, furnace, water supply, electrical).

One other question .... what is your maintenance on the slides?

Cheers and happy New Year to all.

I would ensure to change transmission fluid, brake fluid, and inline fuel filter at 30k. Recently hit that marker on my coach and had these done.
