99 Dolphin Wood decorative plank sub- floor ?

FLOORING QUESTION: I have a 99-38 ft Dolphin, it has very nice oak type plank flooring in the kitchen area , the rest of the floor in the salon - livning room etc..... is just carpeting, my question is do any of You nice folks know if the entire main living room under the carpet is that nice beautiful plank flooring or is it just ugly plywood ?

If it is the nice plank then I would love to just pull up the old carpet and expose the pretty wood ?

Thanks
Steve

Our 2001 Dolphin had the same flooring. Under the carpet is just rough plywood. I ripped the carpet and the hardwood out and put in cushioned vinyl. Take the hardwood out was chore since it was glued down very well. The carpet was time consuming due the 100's of staples I found.

That's 1 vote for ugly plywood under the rest of the carpet, do I hear 2 ?

The kitchen hardwood does NOT extend under the carpet. Carpet is glued and stapled to the plywood underlayment.

Sadly what you see is all that you get. As others say. the rest is just plywood.

I used inexpensive laminate ... in about 6 yrs the rollers scratched and wore a hole in the laminate where they rested with the slide in. I could not get the rollers to rest on anything to prevent the wear, this may have been due to the thickness of the laminate.
