I am working on a Friend of mines water heater. I have power at the switch but there is no power at all getting to the water heater heater control board. In addition to that the wires are different color at the switch that they are at the water heater. I am hoping some has an electrical drawing that will give a little more information. Thanks Bill

I just replaced the igniter board in my Atwood gas/electric 6-gal water heater and I learned a few things that I will share with you. But, first I need to know the mfg., model and size of your heater. Rook

I don't have the trailer here so it will be a couple of days before I can get the model number, etc. It is a Atwood ten gallon gas electric. At this point the problem is before the water heater. It is getting no 12V to the control panel, so the problem has to be in the wiring to the water heater.

Well maybe not....on my WH the 12v comes in from the on-off sw in the coach on a brown wire and it first goes through a thermal cutout device, then it goes through the gas thermostat (different from the electric thermostat) and THEN it goes to the igniter board. Check with a voltmeter that you have 12V through these two components. Rook

There is no voltage getting to the gas side of the water heater. The electric operating stuff is on the back side of the tank and it is functioning normal. Bill

OK.....sounds like your problem is external to the water heater. Rook
