It can be 2 ways , 1 follow the air lines , they might run to a regulator , which would need adjusting , the second type could be like on a semi's rear susp. follow the air lines if they go to a leveller , rod connected to an air valve on the frame to the axle , then it would have an ajustment to slide up or down, which would then add or dump air off, . One thing to consider is the frame to axle distance.This distance is important as is can put more or less weight on the rear axle, thus not the proper weight distribution. It would stay constant no matter if your load is light or heavy. Inquire at a place where semi's are repaired, if your frame is oshkosh or ford etc.
