Pre, 2003 Freightliner chassis , had a similar issue.
Does National use there own chassis , or build on Freightliner or Spartan?

On the early, Freightliner chassis, the problem was poor soldered connections, internal in the VDC ( Vehicle Data Center) a collection device that broadcast info to the dashboard gauges , and there are posts , here in the forums about a DIY repair of those connections. The data system was changed in 03 to MCCI? and I don't know if the problem carried over to the newer chassis.
Because , Freightliner supplied the air system and the gauge/ warning system , the problem is a chassis issue, not related to National's coach build.
Could be time for a phone call to Freightliners free help line , have your serial number handy.
I have the number written down in 5 places at home , and I'm not there at the moment. I'll post as soon as I find it, and I'll do a search in the Freightliner forums, to see if other members have reported your problem with the new system

EDIT. Phone number is 1-800-385-4357 correct acronym for the new system is MMDC. If I come across anything helpful , I'll re-post.
