alignment of wastewater drain and decklid????

2004 SeaBreeze

The outlet for my gray and black water gate valve comes nowhere close to lining up with the small 4" circular deck lid in the floor of the compartment.

I have tried a 45 swivel also. Its a good 2-3" off. Just enough to where it will not line up for an easy exit through the bottom, and too far to easily just jog the hose over and out the bottom. The deckplate is also too small to get any modern fittings through

Anyone else have this issue. Unless I am missing something and dumb, which could very well be the case, I cannot this ever left a factory like this. Let alone someone up the line in the ownership history did not fix it.

i have just been fighting it for the 10 months I have had it, and adding a maserator pump made it almost a non issue but there are times that Id prefer to just use my regular dump hose and it is a royal pain.

I am thinking of just cutting a larger hole in the bottom. Like 6x8.

Thought I would see if any other solutions are out there before i do though.

Thanks

Deck Plates

Very common issue. You may find threads using the search box above that says sponsored by Google.

This is an 8 inch deck plate.
