Another floor vent question
Am I the only one with a 2000 Tradewinds that has a vent on the floor right by the passenger seat?
I have a photo that with luck will show up. I've taken the vent up and looked down inside, it seems to be just on top of the fuel tank, no duct work so I am still thinking ventilation.
Thank you very much and have a wonderful evening.

The real tell of the tale is, does warm air come out of the vent when the furnace is on? It also could be a cold air return to the furnace. I'd turn on the furnace and check it out. A candle or a bit of smoke should show if air is moving.

Yours is the same as my 98. It's a heat vent, a lot of nice hot air comes out of it when the heater is on. Rook

Are you sure that's the Fuel Tank. That's close to where the fresh water tanks are on mine and a Heating duct is routed there to keep the fresh water from freezing.
Here is a picture of the forward bay passengers side. The box attached to the top of that compartment covers ducting for the fresh water tanks heat.

Thank you guys for the reply. We have only had this motorhome out three times and I can't say I was up front where that would be venting warm air. I was just reading in the books and I see a place that states there is heat to the tank area to keep it from freezing. I know that I do not have a boxed in area behind the passenger side front compartment. That compartment is a through and through because of the room extension on the other side, good place for a ladder.
I just went out and looked, and I see exposed heat ductwork that drops down from the floor into that compartment where the tanks are.
So thank you for helping me figure that out as that was bugging me.
One more question, how many miles do you guys have on your MH I've got 65,000 on mine. Thanks again.

I have a 2000, model 7373 with 39,000 miles on it. I have a duct, but it runs the other way beside the passenger seat. I have wondered what it is myself. Rivrduk
