I have a 99 6371 37' Tropi-Cal. After winter storage and having the house battery disconnected I could connect the house battery but would have to press the connect switch a few times untill it would connect. Recently it will not connect when the switch is pressed. I looked in my owners guide but it has general info for all models & shows a smaller Fuse Distributation panel than the one I have. I changed the solenoid but does not help & now have a spare. Does anyone have any suggestions as what I can check. I have checked all the fuses in the BCC and all are good. I tried to find the 150 amp ciircut breaker as the service manual shows the reset lever on the right bottom back side of the BCC but can't find it and the bcc curcuit board say's the relay switch is located below the Jack pump & generator? I followed the wiring from the jack pump & cannot find the reset lever and figure it would be good to know where it is. Has anyone got a similiar MH and know where the reset lever is? The only part of the BCC that seems to have power is J2 from the engine battery as if I pull a fuse it lights up. The biggest problem with not being able to connect the house battery is I can not run the levelling jacks, fridge, furnace, lights etc. Any suggestions would be appreciated

Remove the switch or remove the fuse that sends power to the switch

Operate the switch 40 to 100 times

Re-connect and see if it now works

(This action can, in many cases, clean the switch contacts)

I had the same problem while my rig was still under warranty.. Rather than wait for warranty service I performed that sequence and have had no problems since.

Thanks for your suggestion I will try that & see if I get any results. Electrical problems are not my favorite but have since looked on yahoo groups & found a National RV 12V Battery Distributation Center Trouble Guide along with schematics for the 11197 & 11197A Models so I will read through this and if cleaning the switch doesn't work I will try some of the suggestions listed. Thanks again for your help.

So you know what happens... When you operate the switch the contacts do not just open/close.. They wipe against each other.

This tends to clean the contacts

But if the contacts are dirty ENOUGH,, Then they will arc a bit as they rub against each other and not make good contact.

Operation without power prevents the arc and thus cleans the contacts... Sometimes.. If you are lucky.. Worked for me twice so far... Once on the very switch that's giving you issues.

That makes a lot of sense. I found my switch is not the problem but it could have been the reason it took a few try's to get it to work. I will do this periodically.
I followed the trouble shooting guide for the battery disconnect function for models 111979 & 111979A circuit board. I unplugged harness J4 and tried grounding pin 3 then pin 4 & the relay did not operate. It states if it did work the fault lies in the coach wiring or switch & if it doesn't, replace the entire module which is not very good news.
Thanks again for you information.
