I have a 99 Tropi-Cal 36 ft model 6350. I have owned this coach for about a year and have had handling problems since I purchased it. When going down the road it seems to stear stiffer than it should, the stearing wheel does not return completely after making a turn (aprox. last one half turn does not return) and has a tendacy to wonder around the road, no wind no passing 18 wheeler. This coach is on the Ford F53 chassie.
So far I have installed new G670 tires, had the front end aligned and checked for worn parts (coach only has 32,000 miles) and possible frozen king pins, everything checked ok. Installed new stearing gear box the coach has billstein shocks that the previous owner had installed at 20,000 mile. All of this and no help. Does anyone have any ideas or have experienced anything of this nature. Any help or suggestions would be apperciated. Coach is very clean was always kept under cover and I hate to get rid of it but it is very tireing driving like this.

Thanks Chuck

I don't know if this will help your problem, but more caster in the front suspension will make the wheel return to center easier and keep the coach tracking straighter down the road. My 2002 Alpine 35' coach didn't track well and was poor in a wind due to a poor wheel base to length ratio. I had the caster set to maximum within factory spec's and changed the tires which helped a whole lot.

How much weight are you carrying on the front axle. Some have said it improved to have a heavy front end. Could be a cheap try, to see if it improves.
