Just purchased a used 2005 Tropical LX T398. We're supposed to take delivery on Friday. I will probably add a basement entertainment center. Does anyone know if it is prewired with coax in the basement? Thanks.

Rob

Ihave seen a Tropic Cal like yours where the owner put a 26"+ LCD in the front passenger side basement. I didn't ask if he did any wiring. I know my DOlphin is wired with a coax output and I am going to put a 15" lcd in there.

Rob:

My 03 Trop has the basement TV and was prewired for it. It was supposed to be shipped with the unit but someone in the factory forgot??? Anyway, the Service guys in Perris installed it for me with no problem.

The trouble is that it is a 26" CRT and is very big!!! It completely fills the bin. With the kitchen slide out, the bin door only opens parallel to the ground and does make viewing a little difficult. I did run into another Trop where the owner reinforced the side wall closest to the front of the rig with a piece of 3/4 inch plywood. To this he attached one of the metal arms and the LCD TV to that. Now it comes out far enough to be easily seen without taking in the slide and it takes ups almost no room in the bin.

FWIW

Thanks for the suggestions. We take delivery on Friday and I will check out my options. I previously installed a 20" flat screen in a basement compartment of our Bounder and plan to use that in the new coach.

wecome again Rob, my Pacifica does have a TV hook up in the location you want to use. The switcher unit in the entertainment center has a set of buttons for AUX, I guess thats the basement. You can always call NRV for any info you need, I won't say wether they have the right answer
