Battery Light

On the entry control panel is a red light labeled "Battery"
Does anyone know its purpose?

On my motorhome it indicates that the disconnect switch has not be activated and there is 12 volts being supplied to the motorhome. The disconnect switch shuts off 12 volts to most of the motorhome.

fred

i keep my disconnect switch off most of the time as my rv sits most of the time in
my driveway. however, i do keep it plugged in to shorepower so my house batteries can
be charged.

my question is when i turn my disconnect switch on should my red battery indicator
at the door entry light up red?? my battery switch has never lit up ever since i have
had my rv? Is there a fuse or bulb that need to be replaced behind the battery
indicator light?? it would be nice if if it would light up so i know if my house batteries
are charged and working or they are dead and i assume the light would be very weak or not lit up at all? thanks for information on this battery light at the front entrance.

My issue is just the opposite -- my light Never goes off -- the panel is easy enough to remove with a few screws, I would check the bulb.

That light should be on so you can charge your house batteries while the engine is running, you need it on if you dry camp you can also charge if it's not on check your fuse panel across form your ref or next to your bathroom. Your unit has an inverter as will as a charger.

battery light at door entrance

my battery light at my door entrance has never worked since i got my
motorhome? i pulled it apart to try and change the bulb assuming it was
a push in bulb. my bulb is not a push in type, but is soldered in the casing?

so do i have to buy the whole push in unit? or can i just buy the replacement
bulb and solder it in?? the bulb looks pretty tiny so if i can just buy the bulb
i can probably just solder it in.

it would be much easier to just buy the whole push in unit weith the bulb
included but probably much more expensive than just buying the bulb by
itself?? any suggestions? went to ace hardware for a replacement bulb
and they did not have it. said i had to go to radio shack or frys electronic
supply to buy just the bulb by itself? this experience is harder than it
shoulb be? any thoughts or advice? thaniks

Radio shack may have the bulb. I just bought some small bulbs that I used in my car radio, they're not cheap though for what they are. They have both base and base less. You will probably have to take the switch in for them to see it.

My red light is only on when it is turned on. Don't remember if it's left or right, but you will here the relay kick in It is quite noticeable. No 12v anything will work except maybe the LP and Co2 detector. This is how it is on my Dolphin.
