Some other 2007 Tropicals have a cord that plugs in at both ends and electricity handoff is handled by an automatic transfer switch. I think they used whatever they had on the line at the time.
I have only had my 06 TropiCal LX for a year and never could figure out why in the rear compartment where the 50 AMP cord is stored is a 110 V dual outlet junction box with a 3- prong 110 cord and plug coming out the bottom? Could this be used with adapters from the 50 Amp cord to a 110 for recharging thru the generator?

I would check and see if the outlet is live when plugged into shore power. It could be just a 120 v outlet to plug in from outside when on shore power. Also check to see if it's connected to the coach 120 v system or is energized when generator is on. If the cord and male plug is energized in either case, it could be a shock hazard. Maybe a previous owner rigged up a way to tap the generator during power outage? If so, it's not a legal or safe way to do it.

It's the block heater for the engine for cold starting situations.
