I have had numerous problems with the bedroom slide on my 2004 Sea Breeze. The brass gear kept stripping out. It is currently in the shop for repair again. This time they cannot find a replacement for the brass gear. A steel gear was purchased and it split the first time used. Now they are getting parts from RBW AL-KO. They have a mechanic who has experience with these parts. Seems after a number of sales this is the company that manufactures the necessary parts. There is a problem with the original equipment that has been known for some time and the parts they manufacture are supposed to last a lot longer...

What exactly is sliding out, the bed itself within a slide box, or a closet or some part other than the bed? If it is the bed, I think the drive unit has to be under the bed. My bed has a platform under it that also moves as part of the bed, and this platform has drawers in it that open from the sides of the bed. Under the moveable platform is a fixed base upon which the whole slide box moves. This base contains my drive unit. I can lift my bed and remove the drawers on the forward side and have access to the slide unit. It is more accessible when the slide is out. Hope this helps.
