Blackwater tank removal.

Hi, I have a 2004 Dolphin 5342 with a major leak in the black water tank. Does anyone on the form know how to remove the black water tank or instructions with illustrations showing the process of tank removal.
Thanks in advance
Doran

No idea how to remove, but do you know where leak is, possible the leak is in plumbing somewhere, and can a repair be made instead? Seems like patching it might be easier, if possible. Did the tank freeze and crack, or suffer damage from debris on road?

I have the diagrams for a 2004 5342 but I can't upload them here. If you send me your fax I can get them to you that way. Maybe someone knows how to upload the files.
as far as removing the tank, that may be very difficult.

Are they in PDF? If so click manage attachments below and select the file(s) and then click upload. Make sure they are 3MB or less for PDF.

If they are paper, you need to scan them with a scanner. Kinko's and similar businesses can scan documents too, I'm sure it costs a bit.

My national dealer says it comes out the curb side. Makes sense to me as I've had all the covers off.......wheel well body part just held on by screws.

Remove the toilet, remove the flange for same, remove the wooden base to the toilet (you will notice it is carpeted separately).

Black water flush system has a one way valve/vacuum breaker 3' up into the stack section. Up to you if you try to unscrew the access panel behind the stool to the left and go in that way, or perhaps you can get in well enough via the toilet base access. In any case, you have to disconnect that loop of piping that goes up that stack well, and of course the vent pipe itself.

And the ABS toilet pipe into the tank. :-(

Remove the access panels to the tank bays on the curb side, disconnect the wiring to the level sensors, and you can get to one of the 2 clean out ports to disconnect the piping there.

Remove the outer wheel well panel/fender on curb side, likewise any inner panel. From here the entire curbside of the tank should be visible. Note the tank is t shaped, the t part being where the toilet is. It's a good sized tank.

Remove the tank drain and valve assy on the driver side.

From there should be straightforward, removing the wooden platform end pieces. With luck.

Let us know.

Thanks for the .pdf.
I have a 2004 6342 but never found any diagrams this complete.
I have been looking for the physical location in the coach for the gray and fresh tanks.
(want to find the sensor connections. Black tank is straight forward)
I will print these out and study them.

Kemosabe I installed the See Level system in mine. It's an easy fit in the monitor panel, and I used all of the factory sensor wiring.

If you remove the plastic panels in the various compartments you will find what you seek.
