Bolts/Screws in Subfloor?

Pulled up all carpet and getting ready to install tile. Found 2-5 bolts with washers random spaced under carpet but not tight to pad. Two in front of recliner, one center floor by sink cabinet, one behind drivers seat... What are they supporting? I have to countersink them to avoid problems. Any help?

wont you find tier purpose when you remove them for counter sinking, perhaps a 3/16 luan sub floor glued down would solve your issue
good luck and post pix of new floor

Doing my floor right now and encountered the same thing. These bolts hold the subfloor to the frame. I just took the washers off and re-bolted. Heads are now flush with the floor.

I could have countersunk them, but really didn't see a need. I used Loctite on the bolts so they will never back out.

I just drove them in until flush. You can see them in this picture https://skydrive.live.com/?cid=ae67f...2766057%211690 I chose to leave the washers on.
