brake light on dash

So every time I push the gas peddle down (hill climbing or passing on the highway), my brake light comes on. When I resume normal gas peddle, the brake light goes out.
This is the brake light on the dash that shows the parking brake is engaged. Any idea how these two are connected?

Thanks everyone. This Forum R O C K S!!!!

I had the same symptom on a truck with the pull-handle under the dash for setting the brake, which is what my Sea Breeze has, so I assume you do too. My mechanic found a way to tighten it, it simply would wiggle around and eventually engage the switch to turn on that light. You should see if you can find a way to keep it in place until you pull on it to engage the brake. You might have to repeat that action more than once until you find the right setting. No, I do not know how to do it. It could be under the dash, or under the coach in the chasis area where it goes to the rear wheels.

The brake light on the dash may also indicate a low brake fluid level in the master cylinder...easy enough to check.

What he said.

When brake fluid level is low enough, float in MC reservoir may be sensitive to Brk fluid motion and may set the warning lite... ie hills, starts, stops, motions during passing etc...

Brake Light on Dash

Good ideas guys and gals. I will check the brake fluid when I get home today if it stops raining.
