Brake Light on on the Dash

1999 Dolphin 5053, Ford Chassis V-10 for Power.
First major trip (over 600 miles round trip), and every time I have to push the accelerator down going uphill or the motor is under a strain, the Red Brake Light comes on and stays on until I'm at the top of the hill or the strain is over.
It goes off and stays off unless I have to go up a hill or something like this on the expressway or regular road.

My question: How do I connect the accelerator and the Brake Engine Light? Seems as though they are connected??????

Will a Code reader give me info on the brake engine light?

I have my own code reader if I can find it. Then I can run tests??????

Thanks guys and gals!!!

Not sure if your chassis is equipped with a low fluid warning sensor in the brake master cylinder reservoir , but the up hill warning light issue sounds like marginal brake fluid level.

If your chassis is equipped with ABS , most OBD II code readers won't access the ABS controller.
