Broken plastic tray beneath entertainment center

I have a '04 Tropical 39' that has a broken plastic tray (don't know the official name of the part,) that is the floor of the entertainment center. It is broken at the front where it holds the curtain rail and attaches to who knows what. This is quite a large piece and it rattles horribly. I store this inside year round and find it hard to believe it happened or is this a common problem. How do I repair this or do I hire a carpenter to build a new wooden "tray?"
Thanks for any help!

Post a couple of pictures so we can see exactly what your problem is.
If it is like mine, the problem, in my opinion, is that they didn't properly secure the plastic "tray" to the underside at the front. On mine, the only screws along the front edge were the ones holding the curtain rod brackets. I added some additional screws that stabilized it.
I have a couple of cracks and a small piece missing.
I have done a pretty serious rework of mine, but I left that entire front radius as is.
If you are not a woodworker yourself I suspect a replacement would be pretty pricey. If you take the TV down and remove the component pieces, you can get to the inside of the piece and do some reinforcing with a good epoxy and some backing material. Since you cannot easily see that area, that would be my first choice.
Again, post a couple of pictures and you will get more expert advice than you need!
This is what mine looks like now.
