Broken secondary lock UPDATE

I had posted that the secondary lock on my MH was not working and was ready to order a new one. Yesterday I discovered the reason it was not locking and wanted to pass this on to others who might have the same problem. The inside plunger was not screwed in tight. Once I had tightened the plunger, the lock worked correctly, so before you get upset and order a new lock, check the plunger.

While you are on the subject of that plunger that seems to loosen by itself, I had the same thing happen to me also and I took it apart before I realized all I had to do is tighten it. The other issue I had was the plunger loosened itself a little bit and I closed the outside door and had the screen door access slide in the closed position, this is the slide to gain access to your screen door handle, and the plunger was just out far enough to push itself in the lock position and lock the door. I was okay because I had my keys but I was lucky.
