Still working out the kinks in and learning about our newly purchased 2003 Dolphon 5355....

After the rains subsided and I retracted the bedroom slide I felt the sides and top and discovered quite a bit of water on top so I carefully extended it again. I'm told this part is normal.

So, with the slide extended we used a squeegee to remove the water from under the awning. After retracting the slide I felt the top again only to discover that it felt like paper or cardboard and there was a pretty good size bubble as though it was delaminating. Very strange feeling.

What the heck is the top of this slide made of and is this bubble something I should be concerned with? What to to do??

It is EPDM rubber roof material. Unless the bubble get bigger should be ok. If repair is required, you can make a slit in the bubble inject Dicor rubber roof sealent and finish off with Eternabond tape.

Make sure that the bubble is not filled with water. If it is, you will need to drain it...dry it out...and reseal the area that is leaking into it.

Richard,

Thank you so very much for answering my question and easing my mind that this is not a serious problem.

By the way, I'm a bit new at this forum thing. Am I supposed to delete or change some status for my posts after questions have been answered??

THanks again,
Susie
