I am having trouble getting my 2007 Dolphin LX (6367) to operate on anything other than 50 amp service. Actually, it has never worked on 30 amp. I have a 30/50 amp switch in the rear compartment but placing it on 30 amp and connecting to 30 amp service fails to get the Coleman basement a/c to start. Is there something I am failing to do? I set my input power on the control panel to 30 amp prior to turning the a/c on and the rear compartment breaker indicates 30 amp too. I am stumped and have run out of ideas. Most of the other posters have mentioned that their units will run on one compressor if set on 30 amp. I wish I could get mine do that.
Thanks for any assistance that you can lend. We have just started full-timing it and some parks we visit just don’t have 50 amp service available and cool air is really appreciated sometimes.

Honestly, I would look at how the switch was wired. A guy like Dale Sumner from Mobile RV Medic would be able to get you running in short order. If you are close to Myrtle Beach this October, come to our Rally. He'll be there! See my sig.

Hi DriVer, thanks for the response. I am located in California and headed along the west coast for the summer so Myrtle Beach is out of the question for awhile.
I had to position my rear compartment 30/50 amp breaker box to reflect 50 amps in order to get the a/c to turn on. It is powered by a 30 amp pedestal breaker in a 1000 Trails preserve. It will run for about 30 minutes and then trip the pedestal breaker. As far as I'm concerned, the 30/50 amp breaker box is useless as it doesn't appear to accomplish any task. I am resigned to just putting up with the situation when hooked to 30 amp pedestal power as there are just not that many model 6367 2007 Dolphins out there that may have a solution. Somewhere down the road I may find an answer but, right now, I am resigned to placing it on the back burner. Thanks for your response and enjoy your rally!

I looked at the 120v wiring diagram. There are two separate compressors in the basement air. One compressor has a 12-2 with ground lead directly from one leg of the panel so it is the one that always runs. The wire for the other compressor is routed through the compartment switch and to the other leg of the panel (other 50amp lead in). The switch is merely on/off. Off means no current to compressor (30 amp) and on allows 2nd compressor to run (50 amp). Check to see if the switch is truly cutting the circuit.

My reference is for a '05 Dolphin, but I wouldn't think they changed much. There should be two circuit breakers, one for each compressor. You could try turning the breaker off for the 2nd unit if the outside switch is not effective.

Excellent information, thank you. I will begin my search for the compressor circuit breakers when I complete my current journey.
Your explanation of it being an on/off switch makes sense because the a/c doesn't work at all if I have it in the 30 amp position. Now I am thinking that the orientation guy misstated exactly what that box actually is and does.
