Charging system problems

I own a 2001 National Islander. If I am correct my unit should recharge my coach batteries while I am driving down the road. This system does not seem to be working. Example: If I stop for the night without shore power and my battery voltage drops to say 12.5 volts I expect it to recharge to a full level after driving some distance. This is not happening and my battery voltage stays at the 12.5 level.
My manuals do not seem to indicate any problem solving for this issue. I have checked all fuses. Without a schematic, I am lost. I have identified a selonoid in the 12 v. compartment but I assume it is for the battery boost function.
Can anyone offer any suggestions. I would be grateful. Thanks

I may be wrong on this but I was always under the assumption that the alternator would not charge the coach batteries until the starting batteries were up to full charge. If that is the case then if you had a starting battery with say one dead cell the house batteries would never charge. You might want to pull them out and take them somewhere where they can be load tested.

Listen, A quick check to see if your coaches alternator is charging is to:
1. Start your coach 2. Turn of the quick disconnect to chassis battery (or disconnect the batt)
If your coach stays running then your Alternator is working.if it stops running then it's not charging.
