We are new owners of a 2006 TropiCal LX. The people where we are storing the rig have called me to ask how to disconnect the chassis battery? We know of the switch for the house batteries by the front door/step. I whipped out all the literature and can not find anything.
Does anyone know if this switch exists??? How do you save these batteries from going dead in storage? It is stored indoors by the way. Thanks in advance.

There is no switch that disconnects the chassis battery, at least on my coach. A trickle charger is how you keep them in good shape while in storage. Rook

Can't trickle charge in doors--or with my cover on.
In my older National product the switch is next to the entry door on the left-----marked "disconnect". There is a panel there with porch light, compartment lights, etc; It shuts down pretty much everything except gas monitors and the steps. I use it in storage and my batteries stay up well---but I do check it out at least every six weeks and run the generator to recharge.

On my TropiCal there are disconnect switches on the main battery cables in each battery compartment for each house and chassis batteries

No worries....I appreciate the attempt. I did use that switch to turn off the house batteries, just worried that is not enough. As you said I can't trickle charge in doors with solar and they will not let me run an extension cord.
I guess I will just have to travel more.
Thanks again
Larry

Are those the black fuse links with a red button? So you just push down and let it pop up? Like the fuse was tripped?

Save them from going dead by lifting the ground cable from the battery.
The battery should be fully charged first.
