Just fire up the generator and turn on the air conditioners, only about $1.50 an hour. Have a good time

E mail request from NRV looking for old modules

Mr. Snapp,

Do you or any of these people have the old brains? Our engineering department would love to look at them.

I will have Slicer's RV in DE forward the module in question to them, as they just replaced mine under warrenty. Slicer's did not call National for the part, they switched one out of an in stock coach, nice of them to do that as I was supposed to leave for Branson on Thurs. This module was not attached as it should have been, it was laying on top of the water tank behind the water service panel.

Checked out my control modul, and it was mounted up and and out of the way. I will post REF. information below. This part can be purchased on line or at bigger RV stores 30.00 /35.00 dollars.

Price: $31.12
Part No: 0000776200
Intellitec Controllers

Product Information

15 Amp Potted Water Pump Control
Overview

Potted assembly resists water damage.

Intellitec's Water Pump Controller, first in the family of MONOPLEX™ devices, offers the following benefits to water pump switching.

Minimizes the use of heavy gauge wire runs throughout the coach. Only two 14 gauge wires need to be run from the power source to the pump.
Multipoint switching can be added anywhere along the network using simple wiring.
Signaling from multiple points along the single wire MONOPLEX™ can be easily accomplished with inexpensive switches providing momentary contact to ground.
Simplified switches (momentary buttons) increase reliability.
Negligible standby current makes this system superior to conventional multipoint relay switching.
Labor and initial installation costs are reduced, compared to multipoint switching using conventional switching.
The MONOPLEX™ Water Pump Controller is designed to operate as a "low side", remote switch in 12 volt DC systems. As it's name implies, it was designed to control the domestic water pump. It's use, however, is not limited to that. It can also be used to control a variety of other loads such as lighting, other pumps, fans, etc., when it is convenient to switch the ground side. The unit is packaged in a plastic enclosure for mounting near the water pump with two flathead screws. It is capable of operating multiple switch points (as many as desired) and up to two LED power indicators may be utilized all on the same single wire. Power can be supplied from either the battery or converter and the controller is reverse polarity protected.

Specifications:
Operating Voltage 10.0-16.0 VDC
Current Carrying Capabilities 5 - 15 Amps Max
Standby Current Draw 2.0 mA
Operating Temperature -40?C to +85?C
(-40?F to +185?F)

Matthew, I think probably lots of us here have old brains. But heck, they still work. Usually.

Nice work Richard S That is exactly the part that failed. It was laying on top of my water tank, and it is not exactly sealed either. if one looks on the back of the unit you will see the wire for each circuit sticking out of the epoxy. Mine had corrosion from moisture between two of the posts causing the short. It was deffinetly a matter of improper mounting of the unit, others should check their modules and mount them in a dry spot to avoid a possable problem.
