Cold Weather Running

The propane heater in pur Dolphin won't work if the engine is running & the engine heater only (barely) heats the driver & passenger. What do you guys do to keep warm on the road? I was thinking of running the genset & a couple of small radiant heaters - OK, or not? Thanks for your input.

"Running the genset & a couple of small radiant heaters" is OK. (and might? do the job), but it is less efficient, (more costly), than running the propane furnace.

When traveling/driving in cold weather we always run our propane furnace if/when the dash heat can't keep us comfortably warm.

Why doesn't your propane furnace work when the engine is running?

IMO if your furnace doesn't "work when your engine is running", something needs fixing.

I have some Canadian friends that run everything in the Winter when they are traveling in cold weather. By everything I mean dash heat, furnace, generator and portable electric heaters...
