Just uncovered the RV and we have 2 cracks in the electric, plumbing door. Anybody tried to repair doors?

I replaced two of the doors on my parents Journey. They came without the hardware & unpainted. We base/clear coated & installed. They were covered under an insurance claim.
Are your doors fiberglass or plastic or metal? If plastic there is a welder you can purchase at Habor Frieght that will weld plastic back together, sand to smooth & repaint. If fiberglass, sand down, do a fiberglass repair, & repaint. Metal, get it welded and smooth down then paint. Some work involved but anything is repairable.

Kerrbe, let us know how it turns out. I personnally have never used one of these, but where I work we use large plastic trash can liners for a metal trash can. When they develope cracks our sheetmetal shops uses one of these welders & repairs them. I am interested in which one (if any) you purchase & how well it works. I see they have them from $15 -$70 at HF.
