cracked caulking

I have completed my shower skylight rehab and now want your advice on what the best way is to be sure the caulking on the outside doesn't leak. You can see the cracks in the two pictures below.....I am not exactly wishing to scrape all this off since it doesn't leak at this time.

I always took a sharp scraper and went down about halfway through the old sealant. Then go back with new sealant. Do not use silicone.Dicor lap sealant works much better.

Clean per instructions & use Eternabond right over the caulk.

Some cracking in the Dicor pour on sealant is normal and usually is just on the surface leaving the caulking intact. If you do not have a leak I suspect this is what you are experiencing. If you are worried about it either of the 2 mentioned remedies work.
