Before I purchased my coach, I found another 8311 locally that I inspected. I found that the roof had a crack that was about 3' long. It started on the drivers side above the slide area and moved to the middle of the coach to the AC unit. It was patched and that scared me away from the coach. My coach has (2) 3" long slight cracks in the same place. I have noticed a little bit of water damage in the roof that is hidden when the slide is in.

So, is this normal for these coaches and what is the best way to fix it?

I also noticed that where the cracks are, there isn't a supersctucture under the roof, the roof itself bends if you push on it.

At the roof radius on the sides there is foam under it, but it is too thin to make contact with the roof fiber glass panel. This is normal for all NRV products with glass roofs. You can make repairs for the small crack with Eternabond tape or do a fiberglass repair.

Doh!!! Thanks Rich. I have some Eternabond from using it on my last coach. Used it on the seam. This will be perfect. Thanks for jarring my memory!!!!!
