crazy tailpipe size!

Hey There!

Thanks for looking. My tailpipe is shot. It's a crazy 4 3/4" diameter pipe. No one seems to work with it. The last guy I spoke with says it's because it's a motorhome, "they do it on purpose".

Has anyone with a 2007 National Pacifica or similar pusher ever encountered this? I've called about 20 places. Thanks in advance for your assistance!

Cheers,

James Hall

Is that ID or OD? Might be cheaper and easier to just use 5 inch, just weld a plate over the end then cut the smaller hole and weld it on to the 4 3/4 inch.

Yea it seems like some adaptor is the way to go. Thanks for that idea, simple and elegant.

Cheers,

James

If yours is a Freightliner chassis give them a call. Their tech support is good.

Thanks for that.

I checked with them first. Gave them my serial # and they quickly sent a diagram for a very different tailpipe. They said it must be from the manufacturer then. This is the first time that having a National is proving a bit difficult.

Cheers,

James
