Cruise Control in 2004 SeaBreeze

Does anybody have issues with their cruise control. Sometimes it works then it will kick off. Then later I put it on and it comes on. I have been having this issue for YEARS.. Hit a bump it quits....

Yup! Mine does it too. Learned to live with it. As long as it doesn't turn on by itself
The more annoying thing, at least to everyone behind me, is the turn signals are non-canceling

It MIGHT be your ABS wheel sensors. There is a thig-a-ma-jig under the dash that does get out of adjustment and shows ABS failure on the dash. It also will affect cruise control. When engaged, does the CC icon on the dash light up.....or not?

Try readjusting the brake light switch. It's very flimsy. My cruise control quit working several years ago and the problem was the brake light switch adjustment. I readjusted it and it has worked fine ever since.

Also check the parking brake switch.

It almost certainly is the brake lite switch out of adjustment and also easy to adjust. Just loosen the retainer nut on the switch, turn the switch in towards the brake pedal one turn, tighten the nut and test. Sometimes the nut will loosen over time and allow the switch to back itself out enough to cause this problem, so check the nut to see if it is loose already and be sure to tighten good and snug.

Exactly same with my 2004 Sea Breeze. Normally when it quits due to big bump, will not work for some time after. Sometimes will not work again until I stop, shut down and restart.

Will look for the switch referred to here.

By the way...Ford chassis on mine.

My 01 Seabreeze (00 Chassis) had the same problem. Fixed with a new cruise control module. Don't know the Ford part#, but it did the job

Mine is also Ford chassis. Please let men know if you find it. Somebody at work said it will be under the hood underneath the brake pedal?

Sorry I can't give you more information. I was so frustrated by the problem, I hired someone to fix it. It was so bad, it would kick off going over a bridge. I do believe it was under the hood, not sure where it was located there.
