I just had this posted in the Yahoo NRV group and received a good response from one of the members that used to work at NRV. This is about some blisters/bubbles I found at the entrance door and at the bedroom slide-out sidewall. These are barely noticeable and I just noticed them when I was wiping/waxing the sidewalls. I was told that these were probably caused by water incursion and not from that sidewall problem NRV had with Crane Composites. Anyway, has anyone with any NRV coaches experienced these abnormalities? When the sidewall problems were discussed in the past threads, I didn't notice anyone saying they have a problem with this on the coaches.

Yes we have also been looking for someone with this problem. We bought the RV 2 years ago and noticed shortly afterwards that there was some bubbling in the the side wall finish near the roof line by the bed room slide out. It was about 8" wide and 4" down. We just brought our RV home this week from storage and noticed it has gotten much worse. Now there 3 large areas about 12" in size it this same area. I have heard that National RV won a case with the manufacture of the side walls and took care of the owners with the problems. I just need to know if there is any thing I can do about mine. I don't know how bad this will get.

I am afraid the problem stems from bad prep for the full body paint. NRV is not alone, Monaco had a bad run with similiar problems. I believe the only way to correct will be to strip and repaint, OUCH!!

You're right, Fred, that's a major "OUCH" in the pocket. But for now, I'll hold up for that a bit since it's not that serious yet. It's hardly visible unless you're up close - that's how I discovered it.

Yea it is not bad enough to force us to get it repaired right away. But it dosen't look like a surface defect but deep into the panel. I don't know if there is a way to stop it from getting worse or will I need to get the section of panel replaced. If it wouldn't get any worse I would not bother with it but it has trippled in size this winter.

I had a similar situation on a 1999 Alpine. On the slideout with the right light and right angle, it looked like a mountain range going down the side. It was completely repaired, repainted and reappeared within a year. Not as pronounced but it was there. Someone, did not get credentials on expertise, thought silicon was sprayed on the panel prior to painting. SO.............as long as it is not the dreaded delamination and you live with it, go for it. Spending the money for the repaint probably won't bring anymore $$$ when it is time to trade or sell. IMHO.
