Dolphin 2001 water tank sanitize

How do I sanitize my fresh water tank? I tried using a hose and funnel, but gravity fill does not work. I took screen out of inlet and there appears to be a built-in pressure regulator. I tried turning on pump and opening faucets. Still water would not enter. Is there a special intake , other than the water fill inlet, for sanitizing water tank??

Connect your water hose to a water supply faucet.... pour bleach into the hose.... connect the hose to your water inlet.... turn the faucet on.... and fill the water tank.
