Dolphin Advice

We're thinking of purchasing a '95 34' Dolphin with the 5.9 Cummins T/A motor. It's got 101K on it, but is in great shape. This will be our first Class A so any advice or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I have zero complaints about our old Dolphin. I love driving it. It's built well. It has never left us stranded. We drove it home sight unseen from Idaho all the way to Texas. It's seen Utah, Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas, and Missouri. It has never once left us stranded except the time we had a 19 year old tire blow out on us. Yeah... 19 years old. Ugh.

It is also our first Class A coach. I couldn't have asked for a better first one. I just hope the people we sell it to enjoy it as much as we have.

We just bought the same coach

Year, size and motor. Ours had 65k on the clock. Here are the gremlins I have been wrestling with.
1. Paint / clearcoat? on all the cargo doors have all peeled off except for two. Looks ugly. Not sure how to fix it. You can see it over the rear wheels.
2. Generator wouldn't start from the inside but would from the outside and would only run for 20 minutes. Tried it today and with the cooler weather, seems to work fine.
3. Water pump cycles on and off every few seconds. No visible leaks, no faucets on.
4. Steps worked when we first got it, but don't now.
5. TV's are all pre-digital. Won't work without a converter box or through a dish service.
Expected gremlins on a 20 year old coach. There are a few. I look at it as an opportunity to really learn RV systems.

Coach runs and drives really well. Our first trailer of any kind. Keep us informed, we can share war stories.

I love my Dolphin 36foot 535. We live in our year around. Yes there are small thing wrong with it but its a 1997. The way i look at it is I have no payments its owned. Once its fixed its done and fixed. Go on with life. But it is well built and still looks great against the new ones. Yes we all like to have a new one but this is just as good or better. No payments.!
