Here is a picture of one of the highlights on our latest trip. More to follow when I find out the extent of the repair.

Ouch!! I've seen what "good" looks like... and that ain't it.
Best of luck getting it back to "good".

Ouch! That does not look too bad....a tube of caulk, can of rattle paint, and a little buffing should have you as good as new......

Look at the bright side. While the end cap is off, you can add some insulation to that back wall.

Let me guess... I see scrapes on the left side... appears that you're in or leaving a Shell station... soooo

You forgot about the tail wag and caught the end of the pump island

You have to carry a lot of duct tape and bunge cords.

The Title of this Thread "Don't Drive Like My Brother" leads me to believe you didn't do this. Can't wait for the whole story. On the other hand it does appear there is room for some insulation. Also, you might have easier access to change out belts better. Are you going to be able to salvage that cap?? How did you get it back on the road?? That in its self will be an interesting story.
When are you guys getting home??

Don't drive like my brother.. Don't drive like my brother.

Click and Clack (the tappit brothers) Hosts of Car Talk, Standard sign off.

(IN case you wonder where the thread title may have come from.. Of course only the O/P knows for sure)

Two pictures: One real.. Not far from where I used to live is a K-mart. used to be a Golf Course and they had an overhang over the half-circle drive at the front door of the clubhouse/restaurant. IT was about 10 feet high as I recall

There was a photo in the U-Haul dealer a couple blocks from my house captioned DO NOT DO THIS.

Someone had driven a taller U-Haul truck under the too short awning.

Picture 2: Cartoon strip.. John Darling

John was a reporter for the fictional Channel 1 (Yes, there used to be a channel 1 but not any more.. I have a transmitter that works on that frequency though 50MHZ)

The scene is the freeway.. Two reporters are standing there, Two camera crews John's Channel 1 crew and a crew from Channel 7.. Well, Detroit has a channel 7

This cartoon was in their vehicle garage with the caption DON'T

The reporters "An accident on the freeway this morning tied up commuter traffic"

The Chan 1 and Chan 7 trucks, one going the wrong way, are sitting there leaking steam from the busted radiator.

Dick, I went out and looked at my rear Cap, there is no seam below the running lights. OUCH, hope there's a seam on yours there.

Reminds me of a cartoon that used to be passed around by truckers.
Cartoon of a semi truck/trailer stuck under a low overpass , driver standing next to the truck and an officer asked him if he was 'stuck' , driver commented "no, I'm delivering a bridge"
