New member here, hope to get some ideas on how to fix an entry door that rattles like crazy. Only way I've found so far to stop it is to apply some rubber gasket material with sticky backing around door and screen. Door and screen now solid to the point it takes two grown men to push the handel down to open the door. Any ideas besides calling me stupid?

When my 2001 door rattled it was the handle. I put a rubber O-ring over the handle to the neck where the handle enters the door and that held the door handle more solidly and stopped the rattle. Worked for 9 years.

FWIW When my door was making a lot of noise, that I could never troubleshoot while driving, a TEC put a piece of Velcro on top of the door. It is located under the spot where the door "hold open device" is located. It seems that the device was bouncing up and down, like a diving board, and tapping on the top of the door. That was 4 years ago, no problem since!

Striker plate adjusted now easier to open, one small, weak, bald, old man can now open. Rubber band over handel, velcrow on top, road trip in a few weeks and will test. Thanks for your help! I hate rattles. Just as soon as you get rid of one you start hearing another. Recliner chair coming up next. The locking mech on the rocker is stripped and rocker moves as we travel. Everything else seems solid.
