Ok, I pulled the drawer out of its track under the dinette to determine a remodel I am contemplating (take out the bench seats and replace with chairs using existing table). Not gonna do it just yet so I tried to put the stupid drawer back and am unable to. I took the glides OFF the drawer so I can see what I am doing and I still am not able to put the slides from the drawer into the track. Is there a secret? Do I need a bigger hammer?

Ah HAH! I was right. It DID take a bigger hammer. Do NOT tell a redhead "that won't work!" A little WD40 and we are in business.
