How much air are you loosing? If I were troubleshooting my coach I would remove the extensions, replace the valves in the valve stems and check later. If I were still loosing air I would remove the tires and test them in a water bath. You could have leaks in the rims but it seems like a long shot that it would be both inside duals.

What you need is a metal truck tire valve stem.

Get rid of the rubber tire valves.

I agree - get rid of the rubber stems and get the metal truck type. That will probably resolve the problem.

I just installed the s/s braided ext. lines all around. the are attached to the Ford steel tire valve stems. Bought a digital air gauge and it works fast and easy. Been one month and no air leaks. Have heard lots of people blame the extensions for flats.

For the first two years we had new tires put on we had problems. Either it was breaking the seal along the rim or valve stems. Debris would puncture small holes in the extenders or break the valve stems off. We finally did away with extensions (the guys could still reach them cause they are use to it) and had no problems. We just had new tires put on again so time will tell if the experience repeats itself.

Hi seumas,
22.5" tires with rubber stems! Put steel stems on each wheel and your problems will go away. I know this will be a PITA to get done, but rubber stems on 22.5" wheels is an oxymoron.

One more thought.
Make sure the schrader valves are being replaced and make sure the tire seating surface is immaculate.
I have used WD 40 on the schrader valves before re-installing to stop small / slow leaks.
If all else fails paint the seating surface with black paint to make sure you are getting a good seal.
I think they make a special sealer you can put on the seating surface.
In a pinch I have used wet spray paint with no problems later.

I just checked mine - both inside tires were down 40-45 lbs... since I last checked 2 weeks ago. These are new tires mounted November. Mine has braided extensions.

the extensions should not have air pressure on them unless your checking the pressure with a tire gauge that will depress the valve core rod into the wheels valve stem.
that being said..... if the extensions are screwed on to tight they will draw air off the wheel valve stems and cause a loss of air pressure
conversely...if they are to loose they will not let you put air in or take a reading without considerable pressure applied by you with the tire gauge.
its a fine line...
braided ones tend to last longer, but the solid tube type ones will last long time and bye you honda and will not cause leaks.
i carry a few extra because every now and then someone needs one.
also 22.5 wheels should not have RUBBER valve stems period. i know you saw that already, but its a must.

Took it to another tire shop - guys found both extensions were leaking and replaced with new braided extensions with a swivel end; seems to be a common problem.

As others have posted, if I were you, I'd get the rubber valve stems changed out to proper steel bolt-in stems as quickly as possible. The rubber stems are not recommended for higher-pressure applications and have a habit of popping out leading to immediate and oftentimes catastrophic deflation at the most inopportune times and locations.
