If and when I repair my crack I'll take out the foam behind it for four or five inches and glass in some wire mesh to give it some support. I can always refill the foam with

Then do the surface repair for appearance. It's pretty obvious on my coach the side panels just weren't strong enough for the stresses.

Here is the only crack on my 03 Sea Breeze. Its at the right lower corner of the bedroom slide and only about 2 inches long. I have owned for a year and it hasn't changed. I just want to seal it to keep out moisture and leave it alone.

Drilled a tiny hole (maybe 16th inch deep) at the end of our crack (hair crack from corner of fridge vent towards window about 8 inches long). Hope that will stop the advance. Used 3M 4500 (Marine deck/gelcoat repair). Just took her our for a 500 mile weekend trip on not the smoothist roads. Checked the crack and the 3M material seems to be holding. Will keep you updated if it comes back.

I have a small crack in that same area. It hasn't changed in 3 years and all I have done is to use white silicone and apply a layer of silicone over the crack, smooth it down with some rubbing alcohol on your finger and let it dry.

I just purchased a 2000 Sea View that had cracks in the basement access door panels. I used a clear, water-thin solvent cement for ABS and Styrene, and squirted the solvent into the cracks and the solvent melted the cracks together to bond. Works great and does not stand out as a repair. The solvent is made by Weld-On and its number is 2354. Sets up in 3 minutes, and is at 80% strength in 72 hours

Is your unit painted or are we talking decals? Also are your cracks full ones or just surface spider cracks. For sure I am going to try it anyway. I have hundreds of spider cracks and one crack all the way through. My access doors are like new...just the walls that have issues. Thanks a bunch for the great info.

Repaired cracks in motorhome siding

I have 4 photo's to show the repaired areas, but I am having difficulty in the upload process. I do not have a url to go to or use, so any help or advice would be appreciated. The cracks are primarily in the basement doors or above and range from spider type to large and long cracks that go all the way through.

Click on "Go Advanced", click on the paperclip. That will open a new box where you can browse and select the pictures, then click on "Upload". Wait for them to upload and save the post. The pictures will show up then.

Don't quote me on this, but I thought i read something about the bad sides only being installed on 08 and 09 models, Try checking the NationalRV.com site and check the data files. Otherwise, 98 thru 06 models were some of the best selling rigs on the road!
