After several days of searching found a supplier on the internet. No luck with the National parts listings, but here is for future if anyone is to replace their EPDM membrane roof, you will need this item:

Factory RV Surplus
1631 W Bristol st Elkhart In
800-325-1461

Part #: X-D712W-8 Trim Molding White
Price: $0.35 per foot
This white flexible trim molding snaps over aluminum extrusion.

3/4" Wide
1/2" High
7/16" Inside Gap
- X-D712W-8 Trim Molding White - Price: $0.35 - Factory RV Surplus - 1611 W Bristol St, Elkhart, IN 46514 (800) 325-1461 (574) 262-3327

This specific profile is for the end caps- that is, bottom to roof along roof and back down side to bottom. We need 94 feet total for end caps both front & back, but measure yours to be sure you have enough.
This profile will also fit the gutter trough along the sides where the roof membrane transitions to the wall. If the long side edge is cut off, as I have not found a direct replacement for the awning gutter and opposite side.

Hope this helps someone- as a side note, The replacement roof is very expensive here in Canada

Thanks for the information. I have been searching for it, everything I find fits inside instead of outside of the track. Mine along the roof line from age has shrunk and a couple of inches of the track is showing at each end.

Chuck, they just informed me that they no longer ship to Canada, and they will refund my order if I call in. I will phone in morning and ship to UPS at Port Huron Mi, then pickup. If you can wait a few days I should have it next week and actually compare original vs new to be sure.

Just back from Port Huron,.. cut off a piece 4 inches long and placed it in the empty spot on the vertical rise just above the cargo door. fits like a glove and perfect.

Chuck, before you place your order, ask if they have an entire full piece. I asked for 158' and it looks like they gave me the entire 158 in one run which is nice, I now know I will have no splices. Takes upto 10 days prior to shipping,.. once shipped they will email you the tracking number, $10 to ship from Elkhart In to Port Huron Mi.

Now I have to find a complete door & frame for our "97 Tropical due to vandalism last winter. So far hunting has been no good- skunked!

Roof membrane replacement 1997 TropiCal 6350

Well finally finished the roof (except the bedroom A/c unit-still thinking solar panels future power). Removed all from roof, replaced first 8ft of 1/4 OSB sheathing. discovered Styrofoam "boards" glued to underside of OSB. Due to water leak, I had no choice but to replace sheathing, not many screws hold down the sheathing that is fastened to the 1 x 1 sq. tubing.

Ordered the following:
  • 9.4ft x 32ft EPDM Brite membrane
  • Dicor Roof Install Kit (butyl tape / lap sealant / adhesive glue
For $679 there was plenty of tape & lap sealant and roof membrane. Not recommended you do this yourself- very difficult stretching and layout of the membrane. Most definitely need 30 ft of scaffolding on each side of the coach & a second person to install. Best time to do this is warm humid weather, but not in direct sunlight, as the membrane and vents came off easy with the old glue still tacky but easy to break away. I had enough vinyl moulding left over to easily do one more side, will keep for future repairs. This was the original roof membrane, so this should last another 19yrs provided we watch the tree branches and scrapes, plus yearly inspections.

Now the last project for this year is to find a used entry door for this unit, that is 27-1/2 inches wide! hard to locate.

That's all for now
Marv

Hi Chuck

No I did it in the backyard with my shop full of tools close by. Due to this "Heat Dome" over much of southern Ontario Canada, I was lucky, but I did have a large rubber tarp used on gravel trucks and cheap blue colored tarps rolled up like a sleeping bag close by in a moments notice I could have covered it all up. I had 2x6's and bricks near by as well.
Regards, Marv
