Mine is in the power cable compartment which is the left rear compartment. I think your power cable plugs into the side of your MH. Where do you store your cable?

Many (most?) RV's they do not have an external sat-tv antenna connection.. Or if they do it's on the roof.

They have a PARK-CABLE in which Winegard tells you to use for Sat-TV

I'm very much against that (it is usually the wrong kind of cable, plus I might wish to use it as intented, park cable)

I like to install a brand new RG-6

NOTE: Other than two changes I follow Winegard's instructions

The changes

1:NEW RG-6 lead for sat receiver LNB in instead of extending the park-cable inlet lead to the sat LNB

2: Extend teh park-cable lead to teh TV-ANT in on the sat receiver

I still hook TV-OUT from the sat receiver to the "Cable" port on the video switch/power supply (Wall plate)

Truth table for switches

Winegard

Wall plate on= Rooftop antenna (Over the air)
Wall plate off, sat receiver off = snow, no picture
Wall plate off, Sat receiver on = Sat tv

My way

Change "OFF/OFF" to.. Park cable Rest the same

The cable hook-up on my 07 Dolphin is in the rear driver's side compartment along with all the rest of the electrical stuff. Back wall next to the 30/50amp AC switch.
Good luck, we love our rig!

The sat hookup on the back of thr wineguard box comes from the roof and the cable hookup comes from the rear compartment. If you intend to use the cable hookup for your portable sat.dish you have to put an A/B switch in line and run one to the cable tv and one to the sat. or aug. in on the back of the winegaurd box.

As I said, i'd run the cable cable to the TV_ANT in on the sat receiver

And run brand new RG-6 for the sat receiver

Advantages. in addition to retaining the cable option include better signal to the sat receiver (less line loss)
