Flat Screen Install in Basement
Wondered if anyone could share their experiences and pictures of installing a flat screen into one of the basement compartments for outside viewing?
Ready to get one going but would love to see some other examples.

We have a 39" flat screen we use outside. We don't keep it in the bay as we store other things in there. We had a HDMI and Coax cable run to the bay, there was already electrical. When we travel we store it under the dinette. Only thing is we have to change channels from inside the rig. Having it in the bay is a perfect angle to watch.

Hi
Here is the solution I came up with for our 1999 Tradewinds. The goal was to leave as much of the bay useable as possible. I can take more pictures of the painted and installed unit if your at all interested.

Thanks so much for taking time to respond and provide the video link. That is a very first class set up you created! Really nice!

I bought a 28" LED LCD TV as it was the maximum sized TV that would fit into the compartment next to the RV's door. I made an enclosure for it, mounted a LCD TV arm
to 2 drawer slides. The TV pulls out then turns to face the desired direction. The TV is
protected well when stored away in it's compartment. We put a spring loaded adjustable curtain rod and black curtain across the compartment when in use and hide items in the compartment. An AC outlet and TV cable(3 rd. TV) was already installed in the compartment just above the TV by National RV. I can still slide a spare tire onto the center shelf of this compartment.

Nice work Ellen and Greg!
This gives me some good ideas.
Was also thinking about some sort of mount in the ceiling of the basement where the TV would flip down and then back up when not in use... allowing for a larger TV that way maybe. And not taking up storage space.

TV Install
placed one in the front cabinet, that still left us 3 pass thru cabinets. The cabinet was pre wired for cable and power so was pretty easy.

No3Putt, looks nice. Did you just mount it in a fixed position or does it retract back or to the side? I am trying to find a way that still allows me the use of the space when the TV is not in use.

It's fixed in place, so did lose some storage space.
